Gallery 42 opened for business in October 2003. After months of fevered planning and tenacious effort, the hard work and passions of three friends Terry Adams, Ken Allan and Ronnie Flannigan were rewarded with a gala opening preview and nearly 200 local dignitaries in attendance. Set up as a ‘not for profit’ organisation Gallery 42 aims to provide a catalyst for emerging Scottish talent. The permanent collection at Gallery 42 however now boasts exhibits from both new and accomplished Scottish artists. A series of exciting and daring future exhibitions are planned the first of these entitled ‘Homecoming’ will open to the public on Saturday 19th June 2004 and will feature work by Terry Adams, Brian Barclay, Ian Page and Samihia.
